Chansey (Japanese: ラッキー Lucky), also known as Lucky, is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is a pink, ovoid Pokémon with stubby arms and dark pink feet. It has tiny eyes and three hair-like growths on each side of its head, with dark pink tips. On its belly is a dark pink pouch containing a single white egg. This egg is said to be very nutritious, and Chansey lays several new ones daily. Chansey is a female-only species. It is known for its kindhearted nature, sharing its eggs with injured people and Pokémon, but never with those of evil hearts. Eggs from Chansey raised with love and care are said to be more delicious. Due to the high nutritional value of its eggs, Chansey is often referred to as a doctor's double. Over-harvesting has made Chansey extremely rare in the wild, and it is said to bring good luck and happiness to those who manage to catch it. Once slow, Chansey has become much quicker on its feet to escape capture. It is more commonly found in urban settings. Chansey evolves from Happiny and evolves into Blissey when leveled up with high friendship. It's also known to be the only Pokemon capable of using Lucky Punch and the only one (and its evolutionary line) that learns Soft-Boiled by leveling up.
