Kangaskhan (Japanese: ガルーラ, Garura) is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is known for its unique parent-child relationship, always carrying a baby in its pouch. Kangaskhan resembles a kangaroo, with brown fur, a cream-colored belly and ears, and a black helmet-like structure on its head. The baby in its pouch is purple and lacks the patterns seen on its mother. Kangaskhan is a female-only species with no male counterpart. Kangaskhan has strong maternal instincts and will fight fiercely to protect its young. In battle, Kangaskhan can use various moves, such as Comet Punch and Dizzy Punch. Additionally, Kangaskhan can Mega Evolve, during which the baby emerges from the pouch to fight alongside the mother, becoming even more powerful. This Mega Evolved form is known as Mega Kangaskhan. Kangaskhan has appeared in anime, manga, and video games, portraying various roles but always highlighting its strong maternal drive and determination to protect its offspring.
