Mr. Mime

Mr. Mime, known in Japanese as Barrierd (バリヤード), is a dual-type Pokémon species in the Pokémon franchise, introduced in Generation I. It was originally a pure Psychic-type, but became a Psychic/Fairy type starting in Generation VI. A regional Ice/Psychic form exists in Galar. Mr. Mime is a humanoid Pokémon with a pink head and limbs, blue horns, and red cheeks. It is known for its mime abilities and can solidify air molecules with its fingertips to create invisible walls. This ability is used for defense or creating obstacles. Mr. Mime is a combination of a clown and a mime artist, with a colorful body and jerky movements like a jointed puppet. In the anime, Ash's mother adopts a Mr. Mime, nicknamed "Mimey," who often helps with housework. Despite some criticisms for its humanoid design, especially from the critics, its unique characteristics and abilities have made it a popular character in the Pokémon series, appearing in video games, anime, and manga. A memorable appearance was in the movie *Pokémon: Detective Pikachu*.
