Gyarados

Gyarados (ギャラドス) is a Water/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Magikarp starting at level 20. Gyarados is a serpentine, dragon-like Pokémon with a long, winding body covered in blue and yellow scales. It has white dorsal fins, a blue crest on its head, and a gaping mouth full of sharp teeth. Gyarados is infamous for its volatile temper and destructive tendencies, often referred to as a "deity of destruction." In some regions, it is believed that Gyarados's appearance foreshadows disaster. Gyarados boasts immense power, capable of using formidable moves like Hydro Pump and Hyper Beam. It can also Mega Evolve into Mega Gyarados, which further amplifies its strength and changes its type to Water/Dark. Its Mega Evolution is even more ferocious, with an increased desire for destruction, though it can still obey trusted trainers. Gyarados's design is inspired by the Chinese myth of the carp leaping over the Dragon Gate, symbolizing the transformation from weakness to power.
