Kabuto (カブト) is a dual-type Rock/Water Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is resurrected from a Dome Fossil and evolves into Kabutops starting at level 40. Kabuto resembles a horseshoe crab with a tan, protective shell. It has two pairs of eyes: small black ones on its shell for sensing its surroundings while hiding on the ocean floor, and larger red ones underneath. Kabuto primarily inhabits the seafloor, where it uses its shell for protection. It attacks using its claws, which can scratch or drain energy. This Pokémon is considered a “living fossil,” believed to have existed for 300 million years, with rare living specimens found in certain regions. In the games, Kabuto is popular for its unique typing and evolutionary path.
