Kabutops

Kabutops, known in Japanese as カブトプス, is a dual-type Rock/Water Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Kabuto starting at level 40. Kabutops is characterized by its hard, armored body and scythe-like forelimbs, standing on two legs. As an ancient Pokémon, Kabutops once lived in the water, using its scythes to hunt prey. It adapted to land as its prey moved there, changing its gills and legs. Kabutops has a sleek body that allows it to tuck its limbs and scythes and wiggle to increase swimming speed. It uses a variety of claw-based moves in battle like Night Slash, X-Scissor, and Slash, and can steal health with moves like Mega Drain and Giga Drain. As a fully evolved Pokémon, Kabutops can also learn powerful moves such as Hyper Beam and Giga Impact.
