Snorlax (Japanese: カビゴン Kabigon) is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in the first generation of the Pokémon franchise, appearing in Pokémon Red and Blue. It evolves from Munchlax when leveled up with high friendship. Snorlax is known for its immense size, lazy nature, and love of food. It has a dark blue-green body with a cream-colored face, belly, and feet. Most of its body is composed of its large belly, with relatively short limbs. Snorlax requires about 400 kg of food per day and then sleeps, and its digestive system is strong enough to handle moldy food and even poisons. In games, Snorlax often acts as a roadblock that can be awakened using items like the Poké Flute. Snorlax also has a Gigantamax form where it grows trees on its belly and gains access to an exclusive G-Max move. In the anime, Ash owns a Snorlax, which, despite its sleepiness, is very powerful.
