Noctowl

Noctowl (Japanese: ヨルノズク Yorunozuku) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Hoothoot starting at level 20. Noctowl resembles an owl, with light brown plumage and darker brown inverted triangles on its chest. Its wings and tail are also dark brown. It has red eyes, black rings around its eyes, and cream-colored feather "eyebrows." As a nocturnal Pokémon, Noctowl is known as the "emperor of dark nights." It has exceptional eyesight that allows it to focus on the faintest light and fly silently. It can also rotate its head 180 degrees to enhance its intellect. Noctowl's superior senses and intellect enable it to catch prey effortlessly in the darkness. This is due to its exceptional vision and soft, silent wings. In the anime, Ash owns a shiny Noctowl.
