Politoed

Politoed (Japanese: ニョロトノ Nyorotono) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Poliwhirl when traded while holding a King's Rock and is one of Poliwag's final evolutions, the other being Poliwrath. Politoed resembles a green, bipedal frog with yellow hands, belly, throat, and toes. It has a long, curled hair on top of its head and pink cheek spots, which are smaller on females than on males. A green swirl adorns its belly. Its legs are well developed, and it has bulbous toes and fingers. Politoed serves as a leader to Poliwag and Poliwhirl, gathering them with its cry. It enjoys expanding its throat and singing, and when three or more gather, they form a loud chorus. The curled hair on its head signifies its status as a king, with longer and curlier hair leading to more respect from its peers. Politoed is rarely found in the wild and is usually observed near water. In the Pokémon anime, Misty owns a Politoed, which is known for its cheerful personality. Politoed also features in the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
