Jumpluff (Japanese: ワタッコ Watacco) is a dual-type Grass/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Skiploom starting at level 27 and is the final form of Hoppip. Jumpluff has a round, blue body with three cotton-like puffs on its head and arms that enable it to float in the air. It has small, red, beady eyes and a tiny tail. Jumpluff uses these spores to skillfully maneuver through the air, even in hurricanes. It travels with seasonal winds, spreading spores to create offspring. When it encounters cold air currents, it will descend. Once its cotton spores are exhausted, its journey and life end. Although known to be timid, Jumpluff will fight if necessary. They slap with their puffy arms and spray spores. They often protect Hoppip but may bully Skiploom, encouraging their independence. Jumpluff's design is inspired by dandelion seeds and cotton, possibly combined with the appearance of cheerleaders.
