Aipom (Japanese: エイパム Eipam) is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It resembles a purple squirrel monkey with a perpetual, almost maniacal grin. Its most distinctive feature is its tail, which ends in a three-fingered hand-like appendage, used for grasping and balance. Aipom lives primarily in the treetops of tropical, temperate, and boreal forests, using its tail to swing between branches and manipulate objects. Its hands are rather clumsy due to the heavy reliance on its tail. Known for its mischievous nature, it often steals items for amusement. Aipom evolves into Ambipom when leveled up while knowing the move Double Hit. In Alola, it is particularly fond of Bounsweet. Female Aipom have longer head hair than their male counterparts.
