Slowking

Slowking, known in Japanese as Yadoking, is a dual-type Water/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Slowpoke when traded while holding a King's Rock. It is one of Slowpoke's two final forms, the other being Slowbro. Slowking has a Shellder attached to its head that resembles a crown. When Shellder bites Slowpoke's head, it releases toxins that cause a chemical reaction in Slowpoke's brain, unlocking remarkable intelligence. Slowking possesses high intellect, said to be comparable to humans, and remains calm in any situation. It conducts research to solve the world's mysteries. However, if the Shellder on its head falls off, Slowking will forget everything it has learned and revert to Slowpoke. There is also a Galarian form of Slowking, which is Poison/Psychic type. The Galarian Slowpoke, by eating Galarica Twigs, has a different reaction upon being bitten by Shellder, leading to a unique purple appearance for Galarian Slowking. Galarian Slowking's Shellder is also larger and more aggressive, capable of controlling the Slowking and wielding powerful psychic abilities. It chants mysterious spells and makes strange potions using internal toxins.
