Misdreavus

Misdreavus (Japanese: ムウマ Muma) is a Ghost-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It has no visible arms or legs, and its lower half has several small appendages, resembling a ruffled dress. Misdreavus has several round, red gems around its neck, which are used to absorb fear and convert it into nourishment. It has long, flowing, lilac-tipped 'hair'. Misdreavus's large eyes have yellow sclerae and red irises. It is a nocturnal Pokémon that enjoys startling people with mischievous tricks at night, such as yanking hair or making eerie screeches. Misdreavus can learn various Ghost, Dark, Psychic, and Electric-type moves. It evolves into Mismagius when exposed to a Dusk Stone. Misdreavus's design may be inspired by creatures from Japanese folklore like the Nukekubi and Irish folklore like the Banshee, both known for their terrifying screams at night. Misdreavus also appears in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series and various roles in the Pokémon anime. In the Pokémon games, Misdreavus can be found in places such as caves, dark forests, abandoned buildings and cemeteries.
