Forretress

Forretress (Japanese: フォレトス Foretos) is a dual-type Bug/Steel Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Pineco starting at level 31. Forretress is a large, spherical Pokémon with no visible limbs. Its upper and lower halves are capped by bumpy steel plates with zigzagging ridges that can open to reveal its smooth, red inner shell. The inner shell has four cylindrical spikes, with an opening between them that reveals Forretress’s eyes. Forretress moves by spinning, bouncing, or rolling, and it typically attaches itself to tree trunks while waiting for prey. Its steel shell is extremely hard, and it opens the shell quickly when catching prey, making it difficult to see its interior. Forretress has strong defensive capabilities and can also protect itself by firing out pieces of its shell.
