Slugma

Slugma, known as Magmag in Japanese (マグマッグ), is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It resembles a red, slug-like creature made of magma, featuring droplet-shaped fangs on the bottom of its mouth and yellow eyes with flame-like extensions above. Slugma's body is covered by thin, transparent skin, and its circulatory system pumps molten-hot lava, delivering vital nutrients. This unique system requires Slugma to inhabit warm environments, particularly near volcanoes. If they stop moving in cooler areas, the lava within their bodies hardens and becomes brittle. To maintain health, Slugma periodically submerges itself in lava. Slugma evolves into Magcargo at level 38. It has appeared numerous times in the anime and manga, such as during Ash's journey and in various trainers' teams. Slugma's design is possibly inspired by lava slugs, with its shiny form's color potentially based on cooled magma.
