Magby

Magby (Japanese: ブビィ Buby) is a Fire-type Baby Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is the pre-evolution of Magmar, which evolves into Magmortar when traded while holding a Magmarizer. Magby is a bipedal Pokémon with a red body, a yellow flame-shaped marking on its stomach, a single spike on its back, and a black metal shackle on its neck. Its head is covered with numerous red lumps resembling hair. Magby can breathe 1100°F (600°C) flames, and hot embers constantly drip from its mouth. A Magby's health can be determined by the flames it breathes: yellow flames indicate good health, while flames mixed with black smoke are a sign of fatigue. It inhabits volcanic regions, often soaking in magma to recover. Magby is known to be timid and small, and it will leak flames when surprised or excited.
