Lugia

Lugia (Japanese: ルギア) is a Legendary Pokémon from the Pokémon series, introduced in Generation II. It is a dual-type Psychic/Flying Pokémon. Lugia is the mascot of Pokémon Silver and its remake, Pokémon SoulSilver, and it appears as Shadow Lugia in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. Often considered the leader of the Legendary birds, Lugia is commonly referred to as the 'tower duo' with Ho-Oh by fans. It resembles a combination of a dragon, plesiosaur, and bird, primarily silver-white with blue undersides. Lugia has large wings capable of creating powerful storms, and legend says that its wing flaps can cause 40-day storms. Due to its immense power, Lugia isolates itself deep underwater, appearing only to quell storms. It has unique abilities to control the weather and is the only Pokémon capable of learning Aeroblast. In the anime, Lugia has frequently appeared as a guardian of the seas, capable of telepathic communication.
