Cascoon is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III of the Pokémon series. It is one of the two possible evolutions of Wurmple, the other being Silcoon. Cascoon evolves from Wurmple starting at level 7 and evolves into Dustox starting at level 10. It has a spherical, cocoon-like appearance, enveloped in purple silk with two red eyes peeking through. This silk, though delicate-looking, is actually a very resilient cocoon that can withstand attacks. Cascoon prepares for evolution inside the cocoon, and the interior heats up, with cracks forming when evolution is near. The silk of Cascoon is renowned for its high luster and texture, superior to Silcoon's, and is used for making premium clothing. Cascoon often hides under leaves or in tree crevices, camouflaging itself with dead leaves. It remains motionless even when attacked, believing that the more pain it endures before evolution, the stronger it will be, and it remembers all those who attacked it, waiting for revenge upon evolving.
