Lotad

Lotad (Japanese: ハスボー Hassboh) is a dual-type Water/Grass Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is often depicted as a small, blue plant Pokémon with a lily pad on its back, large eyes, and a wide, yellow mouth resembling a bill. Lotad primarily inhabits ponds and lakes, using its lily pad to float on the water's surface. This leaf not only helps it balance on the water but also serves as a vessel for smaller Pokémon. Despite its aquatic appearance, Lotad occasionally ventures onto land in search of clean water. Its lily pad has a natural dirt-repelling ability, remaining clean even after carrying mud-covered Pokémon. However, the leaf wilts if Lotad becomes dehydrated. Lotad evolves into Lombre starting at level 14, and then into Ludicolo with a Water Stone. They are known to live in groups, hiding from predators by floating on the water and sometimes aiding other Pokémon in crossing bodies of water.
