Exploud (Japanese: Bakuong) is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It evolves from Loudred starting at level 40 and is the final form of Whismur. Exploud has a squat, boxy appearance, and its most distinctive feature is the cluster of sound pipes projecting from its body, resembling a pipe organ mounted on an engine block. It has seven such pipes on the sides and back of its head, two long, flexible pipes forming its tail, and breathing ports on its back, elbows, and knees. Exploud produces various sounds through these openings, from flute-like calls to battle roars that can be heard up to six miles away, and can even trigger minor earthquakes. They can control the volume of their voices and usually communicate using whistles of different volumes and pitches. In the past, they were used to send messages between distant towns. In battle, Exploud reveals its true sonic capabilities, able to imitate virtually any wind instrument and control their pitch and volume, making them popular in orchestras and bands.
