Mawile, known as Kucheat in Japanese, is a dual-type Steel/Fairy Pokémon introduced in Generation III. Initially a pure Steel-type, it was reclassified in Generation VI. Mawile is a small, bipedal Pokémon with a pale yellow body and black accents. Its most distinctive feature is the large, black jaws on the back of its head, which are actually transformed steel horns that can bite with enough force to crush iron. Mawile uses its unassuming appearance to trick opponents before attacking with its powerful jaws. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Mawile, which has two sets of jaws and increased attack power. Mawile's design is inspired by the Japanese legend of the Futakuchi-onna, a woman with a mouth on the back of her head. In battles, Mawile is a versatile Pokémon, using its Fairy-type moves to counter Dragon types and its Steel-type moves for both offense and defense. It has made appearances in many Pokémon games and has gained popularity due to its unique design and combat capabilities.
