Aron, known as ココドラ (Kokodora) in Japanese, is a dual-type Steel/Rock Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is characterized by its small, quadrupedal form with stubby legs and a large head, making up more than half of its body size. Aron's body is primarily black, covered with gray steel plates that act as armor. It has pale turquoise eyes and a blunt spike extending from its back. Aron sustains itself by consuming iron ore found in mountains, which it uses to build its steel body. Driven by hunger, Aron sometimes ventures from the mountains to eat railways and bridges, leading to it being considered a pest. It evolves into Lairon, and then into Aggron. During evolution, Aron sheds its old armor, which is collected and repurposed into iron products by humans. Aron possesses immense power, capable of destroying heavy trucks with a full-speed charge. Aron has appeared in various Pokémon games, anime episodes, and manga series.
