Illumise

Illumise, known as イルミーゼ in Japanese, is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is the female counterpart to Volbeat. Illumise resembles a firefly, with a black body, a blue belly, a yellow patch on its chest, purple head adornments, and yellow antennae. It does not evolve but can produce Eggs that yield either Illumise or Volbeat when bred with Ditto or compatible Pokémon. Illumise uses a sweet scent to attract Volbeat, guiding them to create geometric patterns in the night sky. In games, Illumise has abilities such as Oblivious, Tinted Lens, and Prankster, and uses Bug-type attacks as well as some moves of other types. It is nocturnal, and lives near ponds. Illumise's design is inspired by fireflies with elements of 1920s flapper fashion.
