Swalot (Japanese: マルノーム, Marunoom) is a Poison-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It evolves from Gulpin. Swalot is a medium-sized, purple Pokémon that moves by sliding along the ground. It has a large mouth capable of swallowing objects much bigger than itself and can digest almost anything, except its own stomach. Swalot sprays a toxic fluid from its pores to attack and weaken its prey. This Pokémon prefers to live in grasslands and savannas and enjoys eating poisonous things. In games, Swalot is known for its high HP and decent Special Defense. Its best moveset is Infestation and Sludge Bomb. Despite its toxic nature, Swalot holds a unique place in the Pokémon world.
