Wailord

Wailord (ホエルオー, Hoeruoo) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It evolves from Wailmer starting at level 40. Wailord is a colossal, whale-like Pokémon resembling a blue whale, and is one of the largest Pokémon discovered. Its body is primarily blue on top and gray or cream on the bottom with vertical stripes, along with white spots running down its back. It possesses two pairs of fins on its sides and a crescent-shaped tail fluke. Living in the ocean, Wailord travels in pods, consuming large schools of smaller fish. Known for its ability to dive deep and leap out of the water creating huge splashes for hunting or confusing opponents, Wailord is generally gentle but fiercely protective of its pod. It appears in anime, manga, and games, often highlighted for its immense size.
