Flygon, also known as Furaigon in Japanese, is a dual-type Ground/Dragon Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is the final evolved form of Trapinch, evolving from Vibrava at level 45. Flygon is characterized by its unique insectoid, bipedal dragon-like appearance. It is primarily light green, with large rhombus-shaped wings trimmed in red, toeless hind legs, and skinny arms with three-clawed hands. Its tail has dark green stripes and three red-trimmed rhombus shapes at the end. Flygon is known for its ability to create sandstorms by flapping its wings, which produce a singing-like sound. These sandstorms help it hide from enemies, and its red eye coverings protect its vision. In lore, it is nicknamed the 'Desert Spirit'. It has the ability Levitate, making it immune to Ground-type moves. Flygon is known to cooperate with Krookodile when hunting, creating sandstorms for concealment and then sharing the prey. This Pokémon appears in various games, anime episodes, and manga series.
