Cacnea

Cacnea (Japanese: サボネア Sabonea) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It resembles a round, green cactus covered in spikes. Its arms are straight, not round, and its mouth is formed by a couple of black spots. Its eyes are deep within its body, with dark holes showing black inside. It also has a yellow flower bud on top of its head, resembling a crown. Cacnea lives in arid deserts, surviving on stored water for up to 30 days. Its flower emits a strong fragrance to attract prey, which it attacks by shooting sharp thorns. It can also use its spiky arms like hammers. In times of scarcity, it uses Ingrain to absorb nutrients from the sand. Cacnea evolves into Cacturne at level 32. In the anime, a Cacnea owned by Team Rocket's James is known for its affectionate hugs.
