Swablu (Japanese: チルット Tyltto) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It's part of the Pokémon franchise, also known as Pocket Monsters or Pokémon. Swablu is a small, round, blue avian Pokémon with no discernible neck. It has two long feathers on its head, a short, rounded white beak, and beady black eyes. Its wings are fluffy and white, resembling cotton or clouds and are made of air, giving them a light feel. Swablu dislikes dirty surroundings, diligently cleaning with its cottony wings. They are often found in flocks in forests, and approach towns in spring. Swablu are friendly and unafraid of humans, often perching on people's heads like a fluffy hat. Its cloud-like appearance allows it to hide easily. Swablu sleeps curled up with its wings folded and is said to dream about perching on someone’s head. Swablu evolves into Altaria starting at level 35. The Japanese name, "Chirutto," might reference Tyltyl from the play "The Blue Bird," or the sound of a crane, or a star. The English name “Swablu” combines "swab" and "blue," or could be related to "swallow."
