Zangoose is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, first appearing in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. It is a bipedal Pokémon resembling a cross between a mongoose and a cat, often walking on all fours. It has mostly white fur with deep red, scar-like markings on its face, chest, and forepaws. Zangoose is well-known for its long-standing rivalry with Seviper; its fur stands on end when it senses a Seviper nearby, ready to battle. Zangoose does not evolve and has abilities such as Immunity and Toxic Boost. It primarily inhabits grasslands and savannas, known for its agility and sharp claws. Zangoose is one of the few Pokémon that can have the Toxic Boost ability, which greatly increases its attack when poisoned. Additionally, Zangoose is a region-exclusive Pokémon in Pokémon GO, with increased spawn rates during specific events.
