Lunatone (Japanese: ルナトーン Runatone) is a dual-type Rock/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It resembles a crescent moon and is creamy yellow in color with a dark circle around a small, red eye, and a horn-like structure on its crest. Lunatone does not evolve but is considered a counterpart to Solrock. It is believed that Lunatone was discovered at a location where a meteorite fell, leading some to theorize that it came from outer space, though this has yet to be proven. Lunatone becomes active around the time of the full moon and moves by floating through the air using telekinesis. Its deep red eyes are said to cause fear or induce sleep. Lunatone's health and power fluctuate with the lunar cycle, reaching their peak during a full moon. In the Pokémon anime, Lunatone first appeared in "Crazy as a Lunatone," where it emerged from a meteorite that crashed in the Hoenn region, drawing the attention of the Pokémon Mystery Club.
