Anorith (アノプス), known as the Old Shrimp Pokémon, is a dual-type Rock/Bug Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It can be revived from a Claw Fossil. Anorith is based on the ancient marine creature Anomalocaris, possessing a greenish-gray body, stalks with spherical eyes on its head, and a pair of large claws for catching prey. It has eight wing-like fins on its sides to propel itself through water. Anorith lived in ancient seas, but it cannot survive in modern oceans due to changes in water composition. It's considered an ancestor to modern Bug-type Pokémon. Anorith evolves into Armaldo starting at level 40.
