Spheal (Japanese: タマザラシ Tamazarashi) is a dual-type Ice/Water Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is a plump, round Pokémon resembling a seal, covered in light blue fur with white spots on its back, and a beige underside. It has small fangs and rounded ears. Spheal primarily moves by rolling due to its body shape, which makes swimming and walking difficult. They are often found in groups and are friendly, especially when fed berries. Spheals will clap their flippers when they are happy or excited, creating a noisy atmosphere. Spheal evolves into Sealeo at level 32, which evolves into Walrein at level 44. Spheal has the abilities Thick Fat and Ice Body, and its hidden ability is Oblivious. They live in and around the sea, using ice floes as a habitat to avoid predators. The name "Tamazarashi" in Japanese comes from a combination of "tama" (ball) and "azarashi" (seal).
