Rayquaza

Rayquaza (Japanese: レックウザ Rekkuuza) is a dual-type Dragon/Flying Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is the version mascot of Pokémon Emerald and is part of the Weather Trio along with Kyogre and Groudon. Rayquaza is a long, green, serpentine Pokémon with yellow ring-like markings across its body. It is known for residing in the ozone layer, where it feeds on water and particles in the atmosphere and sometimes meteoroids. Rayquaza possesses immense power and is said to be able to quell the battles between Kyogre and Groudon. In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Rayquaza can Mega Evolve into Mega Rayquaza by consuming a meteorite and knowing the move Dragon Ascent. Mega Rayquaza has an elongated body with additional features and is far more powerful. It also has the exclusive ability Delta Stream, which alters weather conditions. Rayquaza is often depicted as an enemy of Deoxys. Rayquaza has made various appearances throughout the Pokémon anime, games, and manga, symbolizing immense strength and protection.
