Kricketune, known in Japanese as コロトック (Korotokku), is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from Kricketot starting at level 10. Kricketune is a red, bipedal insectoid Pokémon with gray eyes, black pupils, and downward-curving antennae on its head. It has a dark red nose and a black mustache. Its arms are long and thin without digits, and it has short, digitless feet. Kricketune possesses black wings, three black spots on its abdomen, and a tan stripe running from its neck to its belly. Kricketune creates sounds by rubbing its arms together, and it can improvise melodies. It uses its songs to convey emotions, and the melodies vary greatly between individuals. In some villages, competitions are held based on Kricketune's unique cries. In battle, Kricketune uses its sharp arms to attack, and its musical abilities manifest as the move Bug Buzz. Male Kricketune have longer mustaches than females. Kricketune’s cries are melodious and pleasing to the ear, capable of creating melodies that rival those of professional musicians. They convey emotions through their songs, allowing those around them to feel similarly. As they sing, they cross their knife-like arms across their chests, producing unique sounds by resonating their cries within their bellies, which are difficult to mimic with conventional instruments.
