Luxray

Luxray (Japanese: レントラー Rentorar) is an Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It resembles a fully-grown lion, with much of its body covered in shaggy, black fur, while its face, hind legs, torso, and the back of its front legs are blue. It has a mane on its head, which is larger in males than females. Luxray possesses powerful eyesight, enabling it to see through objects like X-ray vision, used for hunting and tracking offspring. This ability requires significant electricity, necessitating long periods of sleep for energy replenishment. They live in packs led by a single male. Luxray's eyes turn gold when using its ability, and its tail ends in a yellow four-pointed star. It evolves from Luxio starting at level 30. Luxray has appeared in the anime and manga, including as one of Volkner's Pokémon in the anime series. Its design combines elements of lions, lynxes, and X-rays, with its Japanese name Rentoraa derived from Röntgen (X-ray) and tora (tiger).
