Rampardos (Japanese: ラムパルド Rampald) is a Rock-type Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from Cranidos starting at level 30. Rampardos resembles a Pachycephalosaurus, with a hard, dome-like head and a bulky build. It has a pearl-like dome on its head, which partially obscures its red eyes. The Pokémon's body is dark gray with blue stripes on its tail, knees, and wrists. Rampardos is known for its powerful headbutting attacks, capable of knocking down anything in its path. Ancient people used to dig up its thick skull fossils and utilize them as helmets. Despite its skull's strength, Rampardos's brain is smaller than its pre-evolution, Cranidos, leading some to theorize that its low intelligence contributed to its extinction. Rampardos has appeared in the anime, notably as Roark's evolved Cranidos in 'Wild in the Streets!' and in the subsequent Gym battle with Ash. In the games, Rampardos is mainly obtained through evolution and is known for its high Attack stat.
