Pachirisu (Japanese: パチリス) is an Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It resembles a small squirrel with white fur and a light blue stripe running from its forehead to the tip of its tail. It has yellow circular markings on its cheeks, similar to Pikachu, but yellow in color. Pachirisu's tail is almost twice the size of its body and has three spiky tufts at the end. It stores electricity in its cheek pouches and discharges it through its tail. Pachirisu is known for its gentle nature and tendency to live in treetops, where it hides static-charged furballs with berries in tree hollows. Although not typically considered a strong battler, Pachirisu gained prominence when Se-Jun Park used it to win the 2014 Pokémon World Championships. It appears in various Pokémon games, as well as in the anime and the Trading Card Game, and is popular for its cute design and unexpected competitive strength.
