Honchkrow, known in Japanese as ドンカラス (Donkarasu), is a dual-type Dark/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is the evolved form of Murkrow and is often depicted as a mob boss figure. Honchkrow's design is based on crows or ravens, with elements of a mafia leader, such as a feather crest resembling a fedora. It is blackish-blue with red markings under its wings and at the tip of its tail, and a white, fluffy patch of feathers on its chest that resembles a beard or cravat. Honchkrow is known for its ruthlessness and will command groups of Murkrow to collect food and valuables for it. It is called the 'Summoner of Night' for its ability to summon over a hundred Murkrow with a single cry. It is very strict with its underlings and will not forgive failure or betrayal. Honchkrow is primarily nocturnal, spending its days alone preening its feathers. It inhabits various environments such as swamps, forests, towns, and plains. Honchkrow evolves from Murkrow when exposed to a Dusk Stone.
