Drapion, known as Dorapion in Japanese, is a dual-type Poison/Dark Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is a large, purple, scorpion-like Pokémon with pointed blue eyes, protrusions on its head and jaws, and a segmented body ending in a tail with two stingers. Drapion has four segmented legs with pointed toes and is most recognizable for its large claws. Its head can rotate 180 degrees. Drapion is highly aggressive, attacking anything that enters its territory. It prides itself on its strength, capable of taking down foes without using its deadly toxin. Its tough, armor-like skin can deflect sword strikes, and it has the power to easily scrap a car. Known as the "Sand Demon" due to its vicious nature, Drapion tends to avoid conflict with Hippowdon. It evolves from Skorupi, losing its Bug type in the process and gaining the Dark type, a rare occurrence for Pokémon.
