Croagunk (Japanese: グレッグル Gureggru) is a dual-type Poison/Fighting Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It resembles a poison dart frog, with a dark ultramarine-blue body, yellow eyes, and expandable orange cheek pouches. It has black markings around its upper arms and chest, as well as white bands around its chest. The white markings are slightly higher on female Croagunk than on males. Croagunk's fingers and cheek pouches contain poisonous fluid; however, a diluted fluid from its fingers is used in remedies for lower back pain. Croagunk is known for its comical appearance and strange cry, and has been chosen as a mascot for a pharmaceutical company. In battle, it uses its cheek pouches to create an unnerving sound, distracting opponents before stabbing them with its fingers. Despite its dastardly nature, Croagunk fights primarily to ensure its own survival. It evolves into Toxicroak at level 37. It appears in various Pokémon games, as well as the anime and manga.
