Carnivine

Carnivine (Japanese: マスキッパ, Musukippa) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is known for its resemblance to a Venus flytrap, featuring large jaws and red and green vines that it uses to hang upside down from trees in marshes. Carnivine's arms are leaf-like and it remains mostly stationary, waiting for prey. It uses a sweet-smelling saliva to lure insects, then quickly closes its jaws to capture them. Its diet mainly consists of insects and small bugs, and it takes a full day to digest its meals. Carnivine's ability is Levitate, which makes it immune to Ground-type moves. It does not evolve. In the anime, Carnivine has appeared as a companion of Team Rocket's James.
