Snover (Japanese: ユキカブリ, Yukikaburi) is a dual-type Grass/Ice Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves into Abomasnow starting at level 40. Snover resembles a snow-covered tree, with a cap of hair on its head that mimics the shape of its mountain habitat. Its arms are white with green ends, and it has four fingers on each hand. The mountain-like appendages on its back also represent its habitat. Snover’s body is divided into three segments; males have a brown middle segment, while females have a white one. They typically live far from humans, high on snowy mountain peaks or deep in cold boreal forests. They are curious about humans and will approach travelers. Snover migrates with the seasons, descending mountains in winter and returning to the peaks in spring. In spring, edible white berries grow along its midsection, tasting like frozen candy, a favorite of Galarian Darumaka. In battle, Snover can create blizzards and launch ice balls at blinded opponents. They root themselves deep in the soil during harsh weather to regulate temperature and absorb nutrients.
