Porygon-Z (Japanese: ポリゴンZ, Hepburn: Porigon Z) is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from Porygon2 when traded while holding a Dubious Disc. It is the final form of Porygon. Porygon-Z's appearance is similar to that of Porygon and Porygon2, although it has a darker color scheme and a smoother overall design. Its head is detached from its body, inverted, and slightly tilted, with yellow eyes featuring a bulls-eye pattern. The legs are more wing-like, and its tail points downward. Porygon-Z was intended to travel through alien dimensions, but due to a programming error, it became erratic and unstable. It boasts considerable offensive power and can learn a variety of move types, including Normal, Electric, and Psychic. Porygon-Z and its pre-evolutions are also uniquely capable of learning the moves Conversion and Conversion 2. Due to the errors in its programming, Porygon-Z exhibits strange behaviors, and its movements are often twitchy. Despite its intended purpose, Porygon-Z has very few appearances in the anime, likely due to the infamous incident surrounding its pre-evolution Porygon.
