Darkrai

Darkrai, known as ダークライ in Japanese, is a Mythical Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It forms a lunar duo with Cresselia. Darkrai has a ghostly appearance, with most of its body being black, a red spiky growth around its neck, and a white, hair-like plume on its head. It is known for inhabiting dreams and causing endless nightmares, although this is described as a defense mechanism rather than a malicious act. Darkrai can transform into a shadow to escape danger and is capable of high-speed flight. While it has a counterpart in Cresselia, their relationship varies across different canons, sometimes antagonistic, sometimes cooperative. Darkrai is uniquely capable of learning the move Dark Void and has the ability Bad Dreams. It plays significant roles in various games, such as the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, often as a main character or antagonist. Darkrai is also a recurring figure in the anime and trading card games, contributing to its rich lore and background.
