Sewaddle, known as Kurumiru in Japanese, is a dual-type Bug/Grass Pokémon introduced in Generation V of the Pokémon series. It resembles a caterpillar with a green body, a yellow head, and a leaf on top that looks like a hood. Sewaddle uses thread from its mouth to sew leaves into clothing. If food is scarce, it can also consume its leafy attire. Sewaddle evolves into Swadloon at level 20, and Swadloon evolves into Leavanny when friendship is high. Sewaddle's head has sensory bumps, and when they meet, Sewaddle greet each other by rubbing these bumps together. It is a popular mascot among fashion designers due to its ability to create clothing from leaves. Sewaddle’s design is likely inspired by leaf-rolling caterpillars, which create shelters by rolling leaves and using silk.
