Petilil (Japanese: チュリネ Churine) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. Known as the "Bulb Pokémon," it resembles a plant bulb, primarily light green in color. It has three long leaves on its head, whose color indicates its health. Its face is white and crescent-shaped, with brown, oval eyes, and no visible mouth. It has a green "bib" on its neck and five stubby roots as its lower body. The leaves on Petilil's head are bitter but possess revitalizing effects, either when eaten directly or when dried and brewed into a tea. It prefers clean water and fertile soil, often found in well-tended fields or flowerbeds. Petilil is a female-only species with no male counterpart. In the Hisui region, it evolves into Hisuian Lilligant, a Grass/Fighting-type. It evolves into Lilligant when exposed to a Sun Stone. Its Japanese name, Churine, is likely a combination of tulip, lily bulb, and root.
