Sigilyph, known in Japanese as シンボラー (Shinboraa), is a dual-type Psychic/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It is known as the 'Avianoid Pokémon' and has a distinctive appearance resembling a colorful totem pole. Sigilyph possesses wings and four feather-like appendages on its lower body, which are blue, red, and yellow at the base. Its main body is mostly black with a green zigzag pattern in the middle and a black pattern surrounded by green. It has one eye on its head and two eye-like spots on its body, giving it a total of three eyes. Sigilyph inhabits ancient ruins and uses psychic powers to attack intruders. They retain memories of guarding ancient cities or serving as guardians' emissaries, thus they fly the same route constantly. Sigilyph does not evolve into or from any other Pokémon. In games, Sigilyph can be found in various locations and learn a variety of moves through leveling up, TMs, breeding, and more. Its design is inspired by the Nazca Lines bird figures and kachina dolls.
