Amoonguss, also known as the Mushroom Pokémon, is a dual-type Grass/Poison Pokémon introduced in Generation V of the Pokémon series. It debuted in Pokémon Black and White. Amoonguss has a large mushroom-like appearance, with a gray stem-like body and Poké Ball-like discs at the ends of its head and arms. A carnivore, Amoonguss lures prey with the Poké Ball-like patterns on its arms, though often unsuccessfully. It can also release poisonous spores that, if not washed off quickly, will grow into mushrooms wherever they land. Amoonguss prefers damp places and tends to remain still near dropped Poké Balls. It evolves from Foongus starting at level 39. In Generation IX, it was revealed that there is a Paradox Pokémon, Brute Bonnet, that closely resembles it.
