Beartic

Beartic (Japanese: ツンベアー Tunbear) is an Ice-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It evolves from Cubchoo starting at level 37. Beartic is a quadrupedal, polar bear-like Pokémon with bluish-white fur. It has three ice spikes hanging from its lower jaw, forming a "beard," and a stumpy protuberance on its head. Beartic can freeze its own breath to create ice fangs and claws, which it uses for combat. These ice formations are said to be harder than steel. This Pokémon inhabits cold, northern areas where it hunts for prey in frigid waters. When tired while swimming, Beartic can freeze the water to rest on the resulting ice floe. While it has a ferocious temperament, earning it the moniker "Snow-White Demon," Beartic is also known to be protective of Cubchoo. In battle, it is a physically powerful Pokémon capable of learning a variety of Ice-type moves. Beartic has appeared in both the video games and the anime, making it a notable Ice-type Pokémon within the Pokémon universe.
