Shelmet, known as Chobomaki in Japanese, is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V of the Pokémon series. It first appeared in the Pokémon Black and White games. Shelmet is a snail-like Pokémon with a pink and green body and a gray shell resembling a knight's helmet. The shell has protrusions on its underside, which it uses as legs. Shelmet's inner body is pink with a long, puckered mouth and green markings below its eyes. It defends itself by closing the lid of its shell when attacked and can spit a poisonous, sticky liquid. Shelmet primarily lives in wetlands and bogs. Its main “predator” is Karrablast, and Shelmet evolves into Accelgor only when traded for a Karrablast. Shelmet's evolution is unique; it evolves when subjected to electrical-like energy alongside a Karrablast. More information about Shelmet can be found on the Pokémon Wiki and other related websites.
